Terms and Conditions

Bowen’s Travel and Tours is a trading name of Bowens Group Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Bowen’s Travel and Tours is affiliated with Independent Travel Experts, part of the Travel Network Group, who hold the relevant ATOL licence and TTA membership.

By booking with Bowen’s Travel and Tours, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions:

1. ATOL Protection

All air holidays and flight bookings offered through Bowen’s Travel and Tours are ATOL protected by the Civil Aviation Authority. We act exclusively as agents for licensed tour operators, and the relevant ATOL number and certificate will be provided for each holiday or flight booked.

ATOL protection applies primarily to customers who book and pay within the United Kingdom. For further information, please refer to the Civil Aviation Authority or click on the ATOL logo.

As travel and booking agents, we act solely as agents for the principals providing the services and accept no liability for any act, omission, or default by such principals, their agents, or servants. All bookings, tickets, and vouchers are issued subject to the conditions, regulations, and terms of the carriers or principals concerned.

2. General

Cheque payments require seven (7) working days for clearance.

All information provided in the booking form is accepted as accurate unless subsequently amended in writing. Bowen’s Travel and Tours accepts no responsibility for loss, inconvenience, or financial detriment arising from incorrect information provided.

3. Website Offers

Prices are quoted per person, based on two (2) sharing, unless stated otherwise.

All prices and availability are subject to change without prior notice.

Hotels are subject to availability and may be substituted with comparable alternatives if fully booked.

Hotel ratings reflect local standards.

Tours may incur supplementary costs, and ports of call on coach tours or cruises may vary due to unforeseen circumstances.

All deals are fully TTA & ATOL protected.

4. Insurance

Under the Package Travel Regulations, it is a booking condition that all passengers hold adequate travel insurance.

Passengers are responsible for arranging insurance. Bowen’s Travel and Tours offers facilities to assist, but neither Bowen’s Travel and Tours nor its agents or servants accept liability for any loss, damage, injury, delay, or inconvenience, including personal property, arising during the journey, accommodation, or any services booked.

Passengers declining insurance may be required to sign an indemnity form or provide alternative coverage details. Insurance coverage is only effective upon receipt of full premium payment.

5. Payments

Bowen’s Travel and Tours reserves the right to adjust prices and schedules if circumstances necessitate, with prior notice where practicable.

Fare increases can only be guaranteed against full payment at the time of booking.

6. Alterations & Confirmation

Receipt of a deposit and booking form does not constitute confirmation.

Confirmation is issued separately via ATOL certificate for flight-inclusive bookings or directly from the relevant tour operator.

All bookings are considered non-refundable unless explicitly stated otherwise. All cancellations must be in writing. Deposits are retained to cover administrative expenses, and clients remain liable for any additional costs incurred.

7. Claims

Bowen’s Travel and Tours’ maximum liability is limited to the total amount paid by the claimant, less any expenses incurred.

8. Forfeiture of Reservations

All final balances are due no later than 14 weeks prior to departure or as specified at booking.

Failure to pay may result in automatic cancellation, and any payments made will be forfeited.

9. Passports, Visas & Health Certificates

Passengers must possess valid passports, visas, and health certificates as required.

Any costs arising from denied entry or repatriation are the responsibility of the passenger.

10. Reconfirmation

Passengers are responsible for reconfirming flights or other bookings. Bowen’s Travel and Tours is not liable for inconvenience or loss caused by failure to reconfirm.

11. Validity of Tickets

Return tickets are valid only for the specified dates unless amended by the company or at the passenger’s request, subject to additional charges at our discretion.

12. Data Protection

Bowen’s Travel and Tours processes personal data to manage bookings and ensure proper travel arrangements. Data may be shared with relevant suppliers, security agencies, credit-check companies, and public authorities as required by law.

Sensitive data (e.g., disabilities, dietary or religious requirements) will only be shared with suppliers directly responsible for providing services.

For bookings outside the EEA, data protection may not be as strong; however, information will not be shared with parties unrelated to your travel arrangements.

Passengers may request a copy of their data, subject to a possible administration fee.

13. Changes to Travel Arrangements

Any request to alter travel arrangements must be submitted in writing or in person.

Changes are subject to a minimum administrative fee of £50, availability, and ticketing conditions.

14. Jurisdiction

All agreements are governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

15. Travel Tickets & Documentation

Tickets are provided for collection at our office. Postage is at the passenger’s risk.

Collection at airports may incur additional charges.

16. Cancellation

Passengers may cancel at any time by providing written notice.

Cancellation charges apply as follows:

More than 98 days before departure: deposit only.
57 to 98 days before departure: 30% of the booking price or the deposit, whichever is greater.
29 to 56 days before departure: 50% of the booking price.
22 to 28 days before departure: 75% of the booking price.
8 to 21 days before departure: 90% of the booking price.
7 days or less before departure: 100% of the booking price.

If the reason for cancellation is covered under your travel insurance policy, charges may be reclaimable.

Full insurance premiums will be retained in the event of cancellation.
